Job summary

Hoovy is seeking a creative Packaging Designer for on-site, part-time work at our Brielle, New Jersey office. You will take packaging projects from concept through production, collaborating with product development and ecommerce teams to deliver attention-grabbing, brand-strong packaging that communicates product benefits.

The role emphasizes dieline-driven layouts, production-ready artwork, and close collaboration with overseas factories to ensure accurate samples and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Professional packaging design or consumer product graphic design experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience working with packaging dielines and producing production-ready artwork.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, branding and visual hierarchy.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization and proofreading skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• On-site work at the Brielle, NJ office.

Responsibilities

• Design new retail packaging and update existing packaging across product categories.
• Develop packaging layouts using dielines, product specs and brand guidelines.
• Prepare production-ready artwork for factories and printers.
• Create instruction manuals, product inserts, labels, retail displays, and other materials.
• Collaborate with product-development and ecommerce teams to bring products to market.
• Coordinate with overseas factories regarding artwork, samples, materials and production requirements.
• Review packaging proofs and production samples for layout, color, print quality and accuracy.
• Ensure packaging contains accurate product information, warnings and other details.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining organized artwork and revision files.
