Job summary

Capture Accessories in New York seeks a Junior Production Designer to join our in-house design team. You will contribute to packaging and retouching within licensing programs, designing assets from concept to production.

The role requires a sharp eye for detail, ability to communicate design rationales, experience in packaging/fashion accessories, and proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator. On-site NYC office; Fridays work-from-home in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Exceptional eye for detail and ability to communicate design rationale.
• Experience in packaging, beauty/cosmetics or fashion accessories preferred.
• Ability to design and execute assets for packaging and print.
• Experience with templates and dielines, and adapting art to different sizes.

Responsibilities

• Design within and maintain visual/branding design guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce primary and secondary packaging.
• Prepare packaging production files for external factories.
• Review electronic proofs and provide detailed feedback.
• Coordinate with production/sourcing to communicate with vendors.
• Adjust art to fit dielines and work with renders/3D renders.
• Review pre-production samples and provide feedback.
• Retouch and color-correct images for print.
• Pay close attention to detail while managing multiple projects.
• Develop packaging from concept to production.
• Gather market trends for mood boards.
