Job summary

Greater Community AIDS Project of East Central Illinois (GCAP) seeks an Outreach and Education Specialist for community outreach, education, and engagement efforts across East Central Illinois.

The role supports events, materials, and communications, working with the Executive Director and Board. Experience with HIV/AIDS advocacy preferred; flexible evenings and weekends required; 10 hours per week, non-exempt, pay $24/hour plus monthly stipends.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills for community and public settings.
• Willingness to learn about HIV/AIDS resources and education.
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Facebook, or Instagram preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate GCAP outreach at events and manage informational displays.
• Develop educational materials and messaging on HIV/AIDS awareness and resources.
• Maintain outreach materials and event inventory; support program operations.
