Job summary

Greater Community AIDS Project seeks an outgoing, community-minded Outreach and Education Specialist to raise awareness of our mission, provide educational materials, and conduct outreach communications. The role is part-time (10 hours/week) with flexible evenings and weekends for events such as Pride Fest and HIV testing days.

Requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, a valid driver's license with reliable transportation, TB test or TB-free status, and COVID-19 vaccination as required by law.

The Greater community AIDS Project is an East Central Illinois nonprofit that empowers individuals living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. We provide housing and supportive services and work within the community to reduce virus transmission and stigma. We're looking for an outgoing, community minded Outreach and Education Specialist to serve as an ambassador for GCAP to raise awareness of our mission, and provide community events, educational material and outreach communications.Position is part-time, 10 hours/wk., flexible schedule with some evening and weekend commitments based on scheduled events, like Pride Fest and HIV testing days; mileage and cell phone reimbursement, paid leave accrued per Illinois law
