Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to support Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs. Responsibilities include administrative tasks, assessments, discharge planning, and delivering group and individual therapy within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master's in Social Work or related field, CA licensure (LCSW/LMFT/ACSW/AMFT), and at least two years' experience in a psychiatric health care setting with crisis intervention skills.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or related clinical field.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility with crisis intervention and group/individual therapies; outpatient experience highly preferred.
• Must possess licensure in CA as LCSW, LMFT, ACSW or AMFT.
• CPR certification and CPI training (CPI training may be obtained during new hire orientation).

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments and therapy (group and individual) within PHP/IOP.
• Coordinate discharge planning and case management.
• Ensure infection control, safety, and risk management policies are followed on the unit.
• Maintain timely and accurate medical records and communication with staff and patients.
• Act as Patient Advocate and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and community agencies.
