Job summary

Beyond Therapy LLC is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to provide individual and group mental health services in an outpatient setting. You will assess client needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to support emotional and behavioral well-being.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation, and stay current with best practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Active state licensure (LPC or LCSW) required.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices including Motivational Interviewing.
• Experience with diverse populations including gender-related counseling.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address a wide range of mental health concerns.
• Utilize evidence-based modalities including psychotherapy and motivational interviewing.
• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide counseling services for mental health disorders, addiction, gender-related concerns, and psychosocial stressors.
• Maintain confidential documentation in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Stay current with ethics and emerging research in mental health counseling.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and trainings.

Job Description

The Outpatient Therapist provides individual and group mental health services to clients in an outpatient setting. This role involves assessing client needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support emotional, behavioral, and psychological well-being. The therapist works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, client-centered care.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address a wide range of mental health concerns
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and other clinically appropriate interventions
• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs
• Provide counseling services for clients experiencing mental health disorders, addiction, gender-related concerns, and psychosocial stressors
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and agency standards
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including social workers, case managers, and medical providers, to coordinate comprehensive care
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as clinically indicated
• Stay current with best practices, ethical standards, and emerging research in the field of mental health counseling
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and required trainings

Requirements and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
• Active and valid state licensure as one of the following:
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Knowledge of and experience with evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing
• Experience working with diverse populations, including clients seeking gender-related counseling
• Proficiency in clinical documentation, medical terminology, and diagnostic coding (ICD-10)
• Strong understanding of ethical standards and professional boundaries
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Compassionate, empathetic, and client-centered approach to care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team

Preferred Skills

• Experience providing outpatient mental health services
