Job summary

City of Spokane is seeking fun and friendly people to lead group adventures on our local trails and public lands. The role is on-site and involves conducting programs, interacting with the public, and representing the agency positively. Trips may run with a co-guide, across varied outdoor settings for diverse ages and abilities.

Schedule varies, with days, evenings, weekends and holidays possible. Training is provided; must be 18+, have a valid driver's license, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead groups on outdoor activities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive 15-passenger vehicles.
• CPR & First Aid certifications preferred but can be obtained after hire.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Pass a drug test and a physical with lift test.

Responsibilities

• Lead group adventures on local trails and public lands.
• Interact with the public and represent the agency positively.
• Drive participants to and from activities in 15-passenger vehicles.
• Work with another staff member or volunteer to conduct trips.
