Job summary

The Biltmore Company is seeking an Outdoor Adventure Center Guide II for flexible part-time hours at the Biltmore Estate. The role involves leading raft trips, bike rides, archery, and other outings, plus assisting with group programming and events.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least one year as an OAC Guide I or equivalent, and current First Aid/CPR certification.Availability includes weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and outdoor program leadership experience.
• At least 1 year of experience as an Outdoor Adventure Center Guide I or equivalent.
• Experience leading interpretive activities and outdoor activities.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification; online certification not sufficient.

Responsibilities

• Guide guests on a wide range of outdoor outings (biking, rafting, kayaking, hiking).
• Assist guests with information, rental equipment, and trail map orientation.
• Maneuver kayaks and rafts using a paddle or oar frame.
• Load equipment on/off vans and trailers; drive 15-passenger van and trailer.
• Clean and maintain bikes, rafts, paddles, spaces, vehicles, and equipment.
• Interpret plants, shrubs, trees, wildlife, and more.
• Assist with developing and delivering specialty programs to large groups.
• Train guides on skills and programs.
• Assist guests with estate information, visit planning, and cross-sell activities.
• Assist with booking, charging, and scheduling guests for outdoor activities.
• Support events and programming within Antler Hill Village and Farm.
