Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking an Orientation & Mobility Specialist for Tumwater, WA for the 2026–2027 school year. The role is 2 days per week, providing individualized O&M instruction to students with visual impairments in a school-based setting.

The ideal candidate has COMS certification (preferred), strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff. Compensation ranges from $35.00 to $50.00 per hour, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) preferred.
• Experience with children and students who have visual impairments preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized orientation and mobility instruction to students with visual impairments.
• Assess students' mobility needs and develop goals and strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, vision professionals, and school staff.
• Document services and student progress.
