United Health Services is seeking a part-time Operating Room Surgical Technician in Binghamton, NY. You will support the surgeon with sterile technique, prepare instruments, and maintain an organized operative field throughout cases.

The role requires a high school diploma and NYS Surgical Technologist certification (CPR within 3 months). Previous OR or Surgical Technologist experience is preferred. Work a day shift with 24 hours weekly and rotating call duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Operating Room experience preferred.
• Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• NYS Surgical Technologist certification required; CPR certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Follows infection control policies and sterile technique.
• Assists the surgeon with gowning, gloving, draping, and passing instruments and supplies.
• Keeps an organized operative field and maintains instrument and sponge counts.
• Prepares for cases by assembling supplies/equipment per preference cards and resolves conflicts.
• Provides a safe surgical environment and assists with turnover between cases; participates in turning over the OR.
• Takes rotating call duty; performs additional duties as requested.
