Job summary

United Health Services Binghamton General Hospital is seeking a part-time Operating Room Surgical Technician to join the OR team. Under general direction, you will observe sterile technique, maintain asepsis, and assist the surgeon as needed. Schedule: Part-time, Day shift, 24 hours weekly.

Compensation range: $25.27 - $37.90 per hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities include infection control, gowning/gloving, instrument handling, and maintaining a safe surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Observes and adheres to sterile technique.
• Maintains asepsis throughout procedures.
• Assists surgeon with instruments and setup.
• Provides safe operative environment.

Responsibilities

• Follows infection control policies and sterile technique.
• Assists in gowning, gloving, draping, and passing instruments.
• Anticipates surgeon needs for instruments, sutures, and equipment.
• Maintains organized sterile field and accurate counts.
• Expedites turnover of the OR between cases.
• Rotating call duties.
