Job summary

Swift Optometry is seeking a friendly and compassionate Optometrist to join our team in Lewiston, ME, serving residents in long-term care facilities. You will perform routine and dilated exams, diabetic evaluations, and manage ocular disease in a geriatric population with patient-centered care.

This part-time role (3 days/week) offers competitive per-patient compensation, malpractice coverage, and the opportunity to improve seniors’ quality of life through clear vision and independence.

Qualifications

• OD license required and active in ME.
• DEA license required.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and dilated eye exams.
• Provide diabetic eye evaluations.
• Treat ocular infections and injuries.
• Repair and fit eyeglasses.
• Diagnose and manage ocular disease.
• Care for geriatric patients.
