Swift Optometry is seeking a friendly and compassionate Optometrist to join our team in Lewiston, ME, serving residents in long-term care facilities. You will perform routine and dilated exams, diabetic evaluations, and manage ocular disease in a geriatric population with patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Optometrist

Location: Lewiston, ME

Schedule: Part-Time (3 Days/ week)

Salary: $40.00 - $45.00 per patient

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients in long-term care facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, comprehensive exams for glasses and contacts
• Perform dilated exams
• Provide diabetic evaluations
• Treatment of infection and injury
• Repair and equip patients with eyeglasses
• Proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease
• Comfortable working with the geriatric population

Requirements

• OD license
• DEA License
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
• Prolonged sitting/standing. Fine motor skills for equipment operation. Lifting/moving patients.
