Job summary

Target Optical, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking a friendly Optometric Technician to join our Portland, TX location part-time. You will deliver exceptional patient service, assist with pre-exam testing, and support the Optometrist with routine procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year strong guest service (internal/external).
• High School Graduate / GED or equivalent.
• Strong communicator and listener to guests and associates.
• Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong interpersonal skills (friendly, caring, patient).
• Sales skills.
• Knowledge of store merchandise.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide attentive service.
• Explain shopping process and required paperwork to guests.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully.
• Operate POS system and collect payments.
• Maintain organized patient records and inventory.
• Keep store displays clean and organized.
