Job summary

Target Optical, part of EssilorLuxottica, is hiring a Part-Time Optometric Technician to deliver exceptional patient service and ensure high-quality care. You will greet guests, explain procedures, review prescriptions, and assist with contact lens orders and in-store services.

We seek individuals with strong guest service, communication, and basic math skills, plus familiarity with cash registers and computers. Prior retail or optical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year strong guest service skills.
• High School Graduate / GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong communicator and listener to guests and associates.
• Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong interpersonal skills (friendly, caring, patient).
• Sales skills and knowledge of store merchandise.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests without delay when they enter the store.
• Explains how to shop at Target Optical and outlines required paperwork, tests, products and services.
• Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully and identifies special needs.
• Provides attentive service ensuring a WOW! guest experience.
• Maintains patient records and handles lens/contacts orders and invoices.
• Operates POS system and processes payments accurately.
• Keeps store displays clean, attractive and organized.
• Adheres to safety and regulatory requirements.
