Job summary

Walmart’s Sam’s Club in Clarksville, IN is hiring a part-time Optical Associate (Non-Certified). You will stock, price and present merchandise, assist members with eyewear and lens orders, and handle routine POS transactions while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records and superb member service.

Responsibilities include measuring pupillary distance, assisting with contact lens care, and coordinating with labs/optometrists. Training and onboarding emphasize ABO status where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent upon job entry or within 12 months to sit for ABO exam.
• Must obtain American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification within 15 months of hire or job entry.
• Willingness to register and maintain own state licensure or apprenticeship; licensure within 18 months; ensure no lapse in registration or certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking products, setting up displays, and pricing merchandise.
• Assist in eyewear sales, measure pupillary distance, verify prescriptions, and perform frame/lens adjustments.
• Process optical orders, manage hearing aid inventory, and complete transactions through the POS system.
