Job summary

Walmart Sam's Club in Temple, PA is seeking an Optical Associate, Non-Certified — part time to support the optical department and help members with eyewear decisions.

You will maintain displays, stock merchandise, and process member purchases at the POS, including returns and exchanges. The role requires accurate measurements, frame adjustments, and coordination with labs and optometrists as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
• Operates the Optical area according to company policies, handles claims and returns, and processes sales and refunds via the POS system.
• Educates members on eyewear usage and care, supports contact lens insertion/removal guidance, and assists in eyewear orders including measuring pupillary distance.
• Performs frame adjustments, repairs, and final inspection of eyewear prior to dispensing, and coordinates with labs/optometrists regarding product updates.
• Keeps records and processes insurance claims/payments for eye care services where applicable, ensuring compliance with HIPAA.
