Carrix, Inc./SSA Marine, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Operations Support Specialist to assist the Operations Labor Managers and Shop Foreman in the discharge, loading, and departure of cargo.

The role emphasizes safety, PPE compliance, and efficient operations in a fast-paced port environment. The candidate should have basic cargo handling knowledge and at least 2 years of experience operating powered industrial trucks, with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience operating powered industrial truck-type equipment.
• Basic knowledge of terminal operations.
• Knowledge of safety and accident prevention codes and regulations.
• Knowledge and understanding of cargo stowage and stability is strongly desired.
• Requires problem-solving skills in operational issues.
• Requires the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with terminal staff while handling cargo as directed, safely and per plans.
• Ensure PPE is worn and report violations to Operations Labor Managers.
• Assist in investigation and reporting of damages and liabilities as needed.
• Support, monitor, and troubleshoot data accuracy and discrepancies.
• Report problems to the appropriate Operations Manager.
• Adhere to safety procedures and address hazards.
• Assist Labor Managers and Shop Foreman to ensure proper communication.
• Report any deviation from company policies to the appropriate manager.
• Perform other related duties as required.
