Job summary

Nesta, Challenge Works is seeking a part-time operational finance and governance professional for a 12-month maternity-cover contract. The role involves 30 hours across four days, with two weekly days in London Blackfriars, supporting programme communications and research teams while coordinating with central functions.

You will monitor budgets, dashboards and resources, using AI to improve efficiency, and help maintain governance, procurement and contracts in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience monitoring budgets, resources and operational data.
• Ability to build trusted working relationships and manage multiple deadlines.
• Comfort with AI, Asana, Salesforce, Google Workspace and Slack.

Responsibilities

• Help programme teams budget, reforecast and track variances; manage the central budget and invoices.
• Improve grant monitoring and dashboards; maintain internal tools and templates.
• Support resourcing, recruitment below band 5, and assist managers with HR matters.
• Coordinate leadership meetings and share operational updates with central teams.
