Andrews & Cole, LLC is seeking an Interim Vice President of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership during a transition. This part-time, remote role (US or UK) requires guiding budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and risk management while leading a four-person finance team.

Duration up to one year with potential extension. The ideal candidate will bring CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent credentials, senior finance leadership experience, and a proven record in interim or consulting capacities.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPA/ACCA/ACMA/CIMA or equivalent accounting credentials.
• Experience in senior finance leadership roles (VP Finance, CFO, Finance Director).
• Experience in interim or consulting finance leadership roles.
• Strong FP&A, budgeting, reporting, compliance and risk management capabilities.

Interim Vice President of Finance (Consultant)

Part-Time | Remote (US or UK) | Approximately 20 Hours per Week

Our client, a globally focused nonprofit organization, is seeking an experienced Interim Vice President of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership during a period of transition. Reporting to the Co-CEOs and serving as a member of the Senior Management Team, this individual will oversee the finance function, strengthen financial operations, and support organizational decision-making.

This is an interim consulting engagement expected to last up to one year, with the potential for extension and longer-term opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial planning, risk management, and organizational performance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board on financial strategy and decision-making.
• Lead and support a four-person finance team.
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, audits, compliance, internal controls, and cash management.
• Assess the effectiveness of current finance systems, processes, controls, and team structure.
• Identify risks and opportunities and recommend practical improvements.
• Support Board and Finance & Audit Committee reporting and presentations.

Initial Priorities

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the finance function, including systems, processes, controls, reporting, and team capacity.
• Evaluate organizational financial risks and recommend immediate and long-term improvements.
• Develop a roadmap to strengthen finance operations, reporting, and organizational scalability.
• Partner with leadership on future finance team and leadership structure planning.

Qualifications

• CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting/finance credentials.
• Significant experience in senior finance leadership roles (VP Finance, CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent).
• Prior experience serving in an interim, fractional, or consulting finance leadership capacity.
• Strong expertise in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, reporting, compliance, internal controls, and risk management.
• Experience working directly with executive leadership teams and Boards of Directors.
• Ability to quickly assess organizations, establish priorities, and drive meaningful change.
• Based in the United States or United Kingdom.

Preferred

• Nonprofit, international development, philanthropy, or mission-driven organization experience.
• Experience supporting globally distributed teams and operations.
• Familiarity with donor-funded organizations and grant compliance.
• Experience with DataRails or similar FP&A platforms.
