Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a part-time Dallas–Fort Worth Operations Assistant to support media equipment, classroom setup, and event support in the Red McCombs School of Business.

Responsibilities include assisting with AV tasks (Crestron, Panopto), coordinating with staff, and serving students, faculty, and guests in a professional manner. This on-site role requires weekend/evening availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with basic experience in Audio Visual practices.
• Ability to handle interruptions and maintain flexibility.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with discretion.
• Reliable with punctuality and attendance.
• Ability to work independently and cooperate with supervisors and colleagues.
• Willingness to work weekends and occasional evenings.
• On-site role based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and external constituents.
• Maintain a professional, tidy classroom/community area.
• Coordinate with Senior Program Coordinator to avoid conflicts with classes and events.
• Assist with copy requests, parking inquiries, building access, and daily office tasks.
• Assist with AV needs: Crestron, Panopto, Zoom/Teams meetings, and related tech.
• Set up and break down classrooms and meeting spaces.
• Respond to end-user requests from faculty, students, and staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
