Job summary

Watts Group is hiring an HR Generalist in Coralville, IA, onsite. You will support a full employee lifecycle, partner with managers and employees, and use Paylocity and other HRIS capabilities to keep people processes running smoothly.

You will coordinate recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, payroll, engagement, and HR reporting, while ensuring confidentiality and strong stakeholder partnerships across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field preferred; equivalent HR experience may be considered.
• 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience across multiple HR functions.
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and HR administration.
• HRIS experience; Paylocity experience strongly preferred, or ability to learn quickly.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws including EEOC and DOL requirements.
• Payroll experience preferred and/or willingness to own payroll responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HR administration across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits, payroll, engagement, and performance.
• Support HR communications, maintain accurate reporting, and contribute to process improvements.
• Administer HRIS activities and Paylocity workflows to keep people processes running smoothly.
• Partner with managers on workplace issues and employee relations.
• Support compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Assist with payroll and timekeeping activities as needed.
• Contribute to HR reporting, analytics, and data-driven decisions.
