Job summary

Hematology & Oncology Associates of Fredericksburg is seeking a Physician Liaison to connect physicians, referral sources, hospitals, and community partners. The role focuses on increasing referrals, supporting practice growth, and building strong relationships across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Management, Healthcare, or related discipline is preferred.
• Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings.
• 4+ years’ experience in oncology industry and/or medical outside sales.
• Deep understanding of physician practice operations.
• CRM experience.
• Experience working across multiple geographies in a virtual working environment.
• Proven ability to build and execute integrated business development plans.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills: PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
• Strong customer service, responsive, attention to detail and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with physicians in our market and key strategic partners.
• Visit physician offices and hospitals regularly to increase referrals.
• Partner with community and hospital liaisons to improve outreach.
• Plan and attend dinners, meetings, and educational programs for physicians and staff.
• Adapt marketing plans to regional changes and new service offerings.
• Develop regional collateral and marketing materials with Marketing.
• Provide territory analysis to leadership and regional directors.
• Assist new physicians in practice building and participate in events.
• Coordinate local sponsorship opportunities and present to physicians.
• Evaluate local marketing through budgeting and campaigns.
• Represent the Company in community outreach and non-profits.
• Prepare presentations and maintain databases of industry contacts.
• Use data tools to identify competitors, targets, and routing.
• Stay updated on new services and forecast market trends.
• Complete status reports and participate in onboarding of new Liaisons.
• Follow HIPAA, safety, and regulatory requirements with integrity.
