American Oncology Management Company seeks an experienced APRN or PA to support physicians at Hematology & Oncology Associates of Fredericksburg. This role provides patient care, participates in trials, and coordinates multidisciplinary treatment.

The ideal candidate has a master's degree, 5+ years oncology experience, prescriptive privileges, and BLS. Monday–Friday schedule, on-site, with on-call and hospital rounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program.
• Master's degree required.
• APRN or PA license in appropriate state.
• Prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply.
• Current certification from ANCC or ONS (AOCN-P).
• Current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
• Write prescriptions for medications, blood products, and follow-up studies per protocol.
• Determine eligibility of patients for entry into clinical trials.
• Interpret and evaluate findings of studies/tests.
• Assist in management and care planning during rounds and on-call coverage.
