Job summary

Visionworks in Avon, IN is seeking a friendly OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our exam practice. You’ll guide patients through the first steps of the vision care journey, share eye health information, and support the exam process with knowledge of our products and managed vision care.

This part-time role includes greeting customers, taking preliminary measurements, restocking inventory, answering phones, and helping with store opening/closing.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals
• Will open/close the store/office to support business as needed
