Job summary

Visionworks is seeking an OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to be the face of the exam practice, ensuring a smooth patient journey from check-in to exam. You will handle preliminary testing, patient information, and transition to the sales floor with product recommendations.

The role focuses on eye health knowledge, customer service, and day-to-day store operations, including restocking and phone coverage. This part-time position offers a competitive benefits package in a customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates with information to educate and recommend products and services.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the exam lane and patient experience, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones.
• Open/close the store/office to support business as needed.
