Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services in Houston Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to assess and reassess rehabilitation needs and to plan, implement, and supervise therapeutic programs designed to improve or restore physical function and independence.

The OT will collaborate with the Rehab Director to integrate therapy into the plan of care, educate patients and families, and document progress while maintaining compliance with agency policies

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Texas license to practice OT.
• Minimum two years OT experience; home health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessments and reassessments of patient's function.
• Plans, implements, and supervises individualized therapeutic programs.
• Coordinates with Rehab Director to integrate therapy into the plan of care.
• Educates patient and family in therapeutic activities for independence.
• Documents patient progress and reports changes in condition or treatment.
• Participates in patient case conferences to coordinate care.
• Adheres to agency policies and attendance and dress codes.
