Job summary

Intermountain Health Layton Hospital is hiring for a part-time Nutrition Services Inventory Worker to receive, store, and rotate food and non-food inventory. You will use a pallet jack, maintain proper temperatures, and transport goods to offsite locations with a company vehicle.

A valid driver’s license and food handler permit are required. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working 32 hours weekly (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 6:30am–3:00pm), and compliance with HACCP and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license (if required by facility)
• Current food handler’s permit
• Ability to write legibly
• Ability to read and apply procedures
• Ability to operate a power pallet jack and other material handling equipment

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify shipments against packing slips and PO; notify procurement of discrepancies
• Identify damaged or missing items for credits and reject sub‑standard products
• Stock materials in proper locations using FIFO and label products
• Follow HACCP and health department standards
• Process outbound supplies and equipment accurately and timely
• Maintain clean and orderly storage and receiving areas
• Pick orders according to production needs and verify measurements and products
• Label, date, and stage delivery containers; resolve picking issues
• Document disbursed/ transferred materials in data systems
• Distribute products to locations including satellites
• Store and use cleaning chemicals per Joint Commission and OSHA standards
