Intersect Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a part-time Food and Nutrition Aide to provide safe, friendly meal service for residents, staff, and guests. You will help with tray assembly, food distribution, and sanitation while following dietary policies and schedules.

The role emphasizes hygiene, accuracy, and teamwork in a hospital-like setting, with required weekend/holiday rotation and attention to infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Some previous experience as a waitress or food service worker is desirable.
• Able to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions including some calculations.
• Basic knowledge of attractive food service, sanitation, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve salads and desserts using standardized recipes.
• Set up trays quickly and accurately in a neat and attractive arrangement according to posted menu.
• Place foods, condiments, serving containers, dishes, silverware on trays.
• Carefully follow directions in serving modified diets and adhere to portion controls.
• Deliver carts with food trays to resident areas and assist with tray distribution.
• Return food carts to the dishwashing area and wash soiled dishware.
• Maintain good personal hygiene and adhere to uniform requirements.
• Clean work areas and equipment such as counters, steam tables, and refrigerators.
• Know and report potential sanitation hazards and equipment malfunctions.
