Job summary

IntersectHC is seeking a dedicated Food and Nutrition Aide to provide meals to residents, guests, and staff under sanitary conditions and to assist with all dietary functions. You will help in the kitchen, set up trays, serve salads and desserts, and ensure proper portioning and food safety.

Responsibilities include delivering meals, assisting with tray distribution, cleaning, reporting hazards, and participating in staff trainings.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions including some calculations.
• Basic knowledge of attractive food service, sanitation, and safety.
• Manual dexterity required to operate equipment and perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve salads and desserts using standardized recipes.
• Set up trays quickly and accurately according to posted menu.
• Place foods and condiments on trays according to meal and resident preferences.
• Deliver carts with food trays to resident areas and assist with distribution.
• Return carts and wash soiled dishware; maintain clean work areas and equipment.
• Prepare snacks or nourishments according to specifications and deliver on time.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings.
• Perform other duties as required.
