Job summary

Mission Point Health Care is seeking a Part-time Food and Nutrition Aide to serve meals to residents, guests and staff in a clean, sanitary kitchen. You will help prepare salads, desserts, and tray setups, and assist with dishwashing and cleaning.

The role follows dietary policies, supports modified diets, practices safety, maintains hygiene, and participates in trainings and meetings. Shifts are evenings, with 4:15pm-8:15pm and 4pm-6pm hours and rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions including some calculations.
• Basic knowledge of attractive food service, sanitation, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve salads and desserts using standardized recipes.
• Set up trays quickly and accurately in a neat and attractive arrangement.
• Place foods and condiments on trays according to meal and resident preferences.
• Follow directions for serving modified diets and adhere to portion controls.
• Deliver carts with food trays and assist with tray distribution.
• Return carts and wash soiled dishware.
• Prepare snacks or nourishments and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain personal hygiene and wear required uniform.
• Clean work areas and equipment.
• Report sanitation hazards and equipment malfunctions.
• Transport garbage to outdoor receptacle.
• Adhere to Standard Precautions and HIPAA guidelines.
• Attend staff meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as required.
