Qualifications

• Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited program or BSN plus graduate degree in health/education from an accredited program.
• Experience/credentials related to the subject matter for the assignment.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States for Pacific Lutheran University without sponsorship.
• Finalist applicants must satisfactorily complete pre-employment background checks.
• Three years of experience in the area of specialty is preferred.
• Previous nursing teaching experience is preferred.
• Specialty certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on clinical instruction and supervision in clinical settings.
• Observe, assess and provide timely feedback on students' clinical skills and professionalism.
• Serve as professional role model; mentor students outside class time as needed.
• Maintain open communication with program coordinators and clinical staff to align experiences with course outcomes.
• Document attendance, clinical hours and performance evaluations per program policies.
