Job summary

Tulane University's Program of Nursing seeks experienced and passionate nursing professionals to join our team as part-time adjuncts or clinical nursing faculty in the New Orleans Metropolitan area.

As a part-time adjunct or clinical nursing faculty member, you will provide didactic or clinical instruction, mentor students, and help align teaching with the curriculum while fostering a compassionate, patient-centered learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (preferred) or BSN.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Louisiana.
• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience.
• Previous teaching or precepting experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide students in didactic or clinical settings, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and model best practices in nursing care.
• Provide instruction on nursing skills, procedures, and clinical judgment in various healthcare environments.
• Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and complete evaluations in accordance with curriculum and standards.
• Collaborate with lead faculty and clinical site staff to ensure a positive learning experience.
• Ensure compliance with national, state, and program policies and procedures, as applicable to the teaching site.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, student progress, and competency evaluations.
