Job summary

MISSOURI BAPTIST UNIVERSITY is seeking qualified Part-time Clinical Adjuncts to instruct nursing students in skills labs, simulations, and clinical settings. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing and at least three years of experience as a registered nurse.

The ideal candidates will also have a master’s degree in nursing or be in the process of obtaining it. Instructors will participate in course orientation, evaluate students, and maintain their professional education.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an RN in their field of study.
• Experience in instructional roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in skills lab, simulation, and clinical settings.
• Evaluate student clinical performance and provide feedback.
• Maintain professional competence through continuing education.

Job description

The Nursing Program is looking to hire Part-time Clinical Adjuncts to instruct students by planning, coordinating, and implementing instruction in the skills lab, simulation, affiliated clinical organization, and/or classroom setting.

• Instruct students by planning, coordinating, and implementing instruction in the skills lab, simulation, affiliated clinical organizations, and/or classroom setting.
• Meet with lead course faculty at the beginning of each semester to orient to the course and review student learning outcomes, course syllabus and learning resources.
• Orient students to the assigned affiliated clinical organization.
• Evaluate the clinical performance of the student.
• Provide feedback about the adequacy of the clinical site in allowing students to meet course outcomes to the lead course faculty.
• Maintain professional competence and participate in professional development activities (4 continuing education credits per year).
• Participate in School of Nursing undergraduate meetings, as available.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree in nursing and 3 years of experience as an RN in their field of study.

Preferred Education/Experience

Master’s degree in nursing or halfway finished with completing a master’s degree in nursing
