Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to join our team. The role offers a starting hiring rate of $16.25 per hour, with higher rates for experienced individuals and up to $3 shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Additionally, the position provides up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse, supporting career growth within Geisinger. The Nursing Assistant will perform patient care, clerical tasks, and collaboration with the care team to enhance patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the nursing assistant scope of practice, aligned with the multidisciplinary care plan.
• Document patient conditions and report changes to licensed personnel in a timely manner.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene and linens changes.
• Transcribe and process orders; support admissions, transfers and discharge activities as needed.
• Coordinate transportation for patients to multiple tests and ensure timely lab specimen handling.
