Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our care team. This role emphasizes reliability, punctuality, and teamwork to deliver high-quality patient care. It includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, a starting wage of $16.25 per hour, and up to $3 per hour in shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Geisinger also offers up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse. This full-time position covers 36 hours per week across day/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) – required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the Nursing Assistant scope as part of a multidisciplinary plan.
• Observe and document patient needs; report changes to licensed personnel.
• Obtain and maintain specimens per policy; transport to lab.
• Assist with activities of daily living and ongoing care; maintain patient safety.
• Coordinate transportation for tests and communicate electronic information as needed.
• Order supplies and interact with food services for patient diets.
