Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital (GJSH) is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant. The role offers a minimum hiring rate of $16.25 per hour with potential increases up to $3 per hour for evening, night, and weekend shifts and up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse.

The position is in a clinical setting with rotation shifts and a 24-hour weekly commitment. Responsibilities include a mix of patient care and clerical tasks, documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Ability to perform clerical duties and direct patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties and direct patient care activities as needed.
• Meet qualifications to care for patients in the unit's age range.
• Provide patient care within nursing assistant scope of practice.
• Document patient needs and changes to licensed personnel promptly.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient safety watch.
