Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team. Eligible candidates may receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus and shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends, with up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse.

The role includes clerical and direct patient care duties, under supervision, with opportunities for growth and professional development within Geisinger’s patient care teams.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of clerical duties and direct patient care activities as needed.
• Provide patient care under the direction of the licensed nurse, following the care plan.
• Identify and document patient needs and report changes to licensed personnel promptly.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient safety watches as assigned.
• Coordinate patient transportation and distribution of supplies as required.
• Transcribe and process orders; release and confirm tests to the appropriate departments.
