Job summary

HealthDrive seeks a Nurse Practitioner for a part-time role (3 days/week) to manage medical needs of skilled nursing residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units. The APRN will diagnose, treat, and oversee patient health while collaborating with administrators and medical staff.

The role includes a 3-week paid training program with mentorship, and benefits like malpractice coverage and ongoing CEU access. On-site patient care across facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (required).
• State NP license (required).
• Board Certification Required.
• DEA/Controlled Substance License (required).
• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Ability to work independently and with onsite staff.
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, post-acute, and preventative care for residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care.
• Order and study diagnostic tests (labs, imaging).
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses; propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications and manage patient health.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules; inform patients about conditions and medications.
• Oversee overall health of residents.
