Beacon Health System in South Bend, IN is seeking a Part-Time Day Shift Nurse Educator for the Professional Development and Education Services Department at Beacon Memorial Hospital. You will lead competency-based orientation, ongoing education, and in-service programs for nursing staff across the organization.

You will identify gaps, develop evidence-based learning strategies, and deliver engaging education to support patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Current Indiana RN license required.
• Two years of nursing experience required.
• CPR Instructor certification required; may be obtained after hire.
• Must obtain Nurse Planner designation from ANCC within one year of starting.”

Responsibilities

• Lead the assessment, planning, coordination, and evaluation of competency-based orientation, continuing education, and in-service programs for nursing staff.
• Identify educational and practice gaps, develop evidence-based learning strategies, and deliver engaging education to support quality, safety, and professional development.
• Serve as an educational resource for associates, leaders, physicians, committees, and other partners while monitoring learner progress and recommending improvements to nursing practice and standards.
• Contribute to policies, procedures, quality initiatives, and special projects that advance patient care and organizational goals.
