Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a part-time Staff Nurse for the Behavioral Health Unit in Akron, OH. The role involves delivering family-centered nursing care, collaborating with providers, and leading in patient safety and education within a pediatric setting.

The position requires a BSN within 5 years, BLS certification, and an Ohio RN license (MSL where applicable). At least one year of experience is preferred; onsite, 24 hours/week, 7a-7:30p.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from American Heart Association.
• Active RN license in the state of Ohio (MSL possibly required for telehealth/out-of-state care).
• Minimum one year of experience preferred.
• Experience supervising: none.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care with family-centered focus within scope of practice.
• Provide care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across age groups.
• Demonstrate leadership and professional duties.
• Perform patient-centered care duties.
• Engage in quality improvement and safety activities.
• Educate and mentor staff; may precept new employees.
• Perform evidence-based practice duties.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure quality care and customer service for pediatric patients.
• Engage in systems-based practice duties and informatics tasks.
• May be reassigned within Akron Children's Hospital as needed.
