Tulsa Health Department seeks dedicated individuals to support Tulsa Healthy Start, focusing on North Tulsa to improve maternal and child health through community engagement and addressing social determinants of health.

The part-time role (20 hours/month) involves coordinating meetings, building community coalitions, maintaining records, and participating in trainings, with opportunities for involvement in local and regional public health initiatives.

Formación

• Experience as a Healthy Start Participant or familiarity with North Tulsa community.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to travel for work.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Willingness to learn new skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Coordinator in gathering and organizing community meetings including Healthy Start participants and North Tulsa residents.
• Help develop an Action Plan to address SDOH impacting the MCH population.
• Participate in Tulsa Healthy Start Executive Management Team discussions.
• Identify and join community consortiums addressing MCH issues.
• Attend local, regional, and statewide meetings and trainings.
• Engage in the Community of Practice and other technical assistance programs.
• Maintain accurate records and timely reports.
• Complete required trainings.
• Perform other duties including public health emergency support.
