Tulsa Health is seeking a part-time Community Consortium Liaison to support the North Tulsa Healthy Start program. The role works 20 hours per month under the Consortium Coordinator to build a community group and address SDOH issues affecting mothers, children, and families in North Tulsa.

Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, developing action plans, and maintaining records, with occasional evenings or weekend work and a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Is currently or has been a Healthy Start Participant and has personal experience in the North Tulsa community.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Ability to assess and maintain cultural competency, respectful interactions with all persons.
  • Licenses: Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Coordinator in gathering and building a community meeting including Healthy Start participants in North Tulsa.
  • Develop an Action Plan to address SDOH impacting the MCH population.
  • Participate in weekly Tulsa Healthy Start Executive Management Team meetings.
  • Identify and participate in community consortiums/coalitions addressing MCH issues.
  • Attend local, regional, and statewide meetings and trainings as required.
  • Maintain complete, accurate records and submit reports on time.
  • Complete required training for duties and responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned including public health emergency support.

Join us in improving the health and overall well-being of every resident in Tulsa County. ***$15.15 Hourly*****POSITION SUMMARY:** Under the direction of the Tulsa Healthy Start Community Consortium Coordinator, this part-time, opportunity of 20 hours per month, will work with the Consortium Coordinator and other Healthy Start staff members. The goal of this position is to create and maintain a group of community members that will work together to identify issues and concerns that may lead to poor health outcomes.**PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:** The following functions represent the majority of the duties performed by the position but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary.**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (100% of Time):*** Assist Coordinator in gathering and building a community meeting to include Healthy Start participants or individuals living in North Tulsa (representing 25% of the membership). remainder of the membership will be various MCH professionals and organizations working to address SDOH challenges and other community leaders.)* Assist Coordinator in using the needs assessment to develop an Action Plan to address SDOH impacting the MCH population and prioritize by North Tulsa residents.* Participate in the weekly, Tulsa Healthy Start Executive Management Team addressing systemic issues that are the focus of the Consortium.* Identify and participate in community consortiums/coalitions addressing issues of MCH interest and coordinates with other Consortium Coordinators.* Attend local, regional, and statewide meetings and trainings as required.* Participate in the HS Community Consortium Community of Practice and other technical assistance opportunities.* Maintain complete, accurate, and current records and submit all required reports in a timely and efficient manner.* Complete training in support of the duties and responsibilities of this position.* Other duties as assigned including those required to fulfill activities in support of public health emergency operations.**QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFICATIONS:****Education:** High School Diploma or GED.**Experience:** Is currently or has been a Healthy Start Participant and has personal experience in the North Tulsa community (for example, currently or formally lived, attended school, or currently has family living in North Tulsa), required.**Knowledge & Skills:*** Ability to assess and maintain cultural competency in all aspects of one’s work, treating all persons with courtesy and respect.* Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Consortium members and other external partners.* Organizational ability.* Willingness to put in limited evening or week-end work.* Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.* Must have reliable transportation.* Willingness to learn new skills.**Licenses:*** Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.**INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:*** Internal contact with the associate director, manager, supervisors, and employees, following the chain of command.* External contact with other private and public organizations.**PHYSICAL EFFORT:*** Ability to extend arm(s) up and out.* Ability to hold objects by using fingers and hands, and ability to use fingers for operational needs such as typing.* Must be able to lift objects up to 30 lbs.* Remaining in a stationary position, often sitting or standing for prolonged periods.* Repeating motions that may include the wrist, hands and/or fingers.* Ability to bend spine at waist, bend legs at the knees, and move on hands, knees, and feet.**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY / ACCOUNTABILITY:*** Direct Supervision – None.* Indirect Supervision – None.* Budget/Money/Material – None* Reports to – Healthy Start Community Consortium Coordinator.* Location- On-Site**WORKING CONDITIONS:** Conditions include those found working in an office environment.
