Job summary

Your Part-Time Controller, LLC is seeking a dedicated, hands-on Controller for nonprofit clients in the Boston area. The role will oversee virtual and on-site engagements, guiding financial reporting, internal controls, and grant management to support client missions.

The position offers a 35-hour work week with a starting base salary of $100,000 to $125,000, full benefits, and opportunities for professional development in a mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5-7+ years accounting experience.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting and grant reporting is a plus.
• Experience with Massachusetts UFR reporting is a plus.
• Remote environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transform nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission.
• Financial reporting for management and Board decision making and presentations.
• Recommending and implementing improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies.
• Transactional activities including A/P, A/R, payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close.
• Analysis and data visualization, budgeting and forecasting.
• Grant management, allocations, and funder reporting.
• Prepare for and manage annual audits.
• Client and staff training opportunities.
