Job summary

United We Lead Foundation in Fresno, CA is seeking a Part-Time Accountant to oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and grant requirements. You will work closely with the Executive Director and leadership to keep records current and provide timely financial insights.

The role includes payroll support, budgeting, grant monitoring, audits, and collaboration with external CPAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience, nonprofit preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with payroll, grants, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain GAAP-compliant financial records.
• Process payroll and ensure related taxes/deductions.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable; reconcile bank accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Monitor grant expenditures and reporting; track restricted/unrestricted funds.
• Support annual audits and tax preparations, coordinating with CPA and auditors.
• Collaborate with program leadership to monitor budgets and expenditures.
