Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Clinical Nurse 2 to join the 7-Cathcart team on a part-time night shift. The role involves providing direct patient care on a 60-bed unit handling postoperative and neuro conditions, with education to patients and families and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The Clinical Nurse 2 practices as a full partner on the health care team, demonstrates professional practice competencies, and works toward continuous quality improvement and evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Registered Nurse - PA license required.
• PA RN licensure required.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Experience: 15+ months in professional nursing and completion of Nurse Residency Program if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as an RN on the 7-Cathcart/7-Preston unit.
• Collaborate with interprofessional health care team to coordinate care.
• Apply nursing process with attention to age-specific needs from infancy to elderly.
• Demonstrate professionalism, safety, and patient- and family-centered care.
