Job summary

UC Health is hiring a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for the 4th floor Med Surg unit at West Chester Hospital, serving the Level III Trauma Center. The 36-bed unit handles a mix of surgical and trauma patients with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4–6.

The role supports high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment Monday through Sunday night shifts. The position requires an accredited nursing education, Ohio RN licensure, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Ohio RN license.
• BLS certification current.
• BSN preferred for expanded responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, implements, evaluates, revises and coordinates interdisciplinary care plans.
• Communicates care plans to the healthcare team and families.
• Provides patient and family education on treatment plans.
• Identify and respond to diverse patient needs of surgical/trauma patients.
• Document nursing process accurately per policy.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to staff on the unit.
• Support professional development of peers and staff.
