Job summary

UC Health is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for the Trauma Surgical Department at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The Night Shift (7PM–7:30AM) is a full-time position within a Level 1 trauma center, serving diverse surgical specialties and critical care needs.

The role focuses on mobility, patient education, monitoring inputs/outputs, and pain management, with opportunities for professional growth in a renowned academic health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS per department requirements based on patient population needs.

Responsibilities

• Engages in population-appropriate communication and educates patients and families.
• Provides nursing care, monitors patient outcomes, and manages pain per protocols.
• Interprets patient data and plans care accordingly; performs treatments and administers medications safely.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
