Job summary

UC Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The RN will deliver high-quality care in a Level I Trauma Center, adhering to established standards and hospital policies.

This part-time night role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, an Ohio RN license, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS per department needs. The ED offers growth opportunities within a busy, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate’s Degree, minimum required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred.
• Current OH RN License.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS per department requirements based on patient population needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, implements, evaluates, revises, and coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Communicates plan of care to all levels of staff and sets priorities.
• Gives clear instructions to patients/family and involves family in care.
• Identifies behavioral health or cultural needs affecting care.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, accountability, flexibility, and a cooperative attitude.
• Nursing process is documented per hospital policy and evaluated.
• Acts as a resource and mentor for new personnel on the unit.
• Owns personal professional development and contributes to peers' growth.

Education

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

Associate’s Degree, minimum required

Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred

Current OH RN License

Current BLS/ACLS/PALS per department requirements based on patient population needs
