Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Phlebotomist at Bay Park Hospital in the Laboratory department. This part-time night shift (24 hours weekly) involves collecting specimens, performing testing, and caring for patients before, during, and after collection.

Responsibilities include pre-analytic tasks like centrifugation, decanting, specimen distribution and packaging. You will use QA data to enhance services and may train new associates or students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Diploma from an accredited phlebotomy training institute OR one year phlebotomy experience.
• Clinical rotation or hospital-based training in phlebotomy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect products and/or specimens for procedures and perform testing.
• Conduct pre-analytic tasks including centrifugation, decanting, and specimen packaging.
• Adhere to asepsis/antisepsis principles and use QA data to improve services.
• Assist in training new associates or students.
